Popular Sitcom Rebooted As “Best Friends”
NEW YORK - Popular 90’s television series “Friends” is gearing up for a reboot, “Best Friends,” about 6 dogs living in New York in their late 4’s and early 5’s this fall on NBC, network sources confirm.
“We think ‘Friends’ is a classic, and is far more deserving of an update than most of these other shows coming back,” network executive Jen Sadler commented. “But we loved that original cast so much that we wanted to reboot it with a fresh start. Oh, and people love dogs, like, a lot. More now than ever. So why not upgrade to ‘Best Friends’.”
The show is supposedly being moved from The Village, to a more dog friendly area: Williamsburg.
“I'm excited, but like, I don't know, Chandler was such an iconic character,” added dog actor Barkiffer Aniston. “I'm not sure if I can pull off that brand of sarcasm! Though to be honest, I'm more interested in how they will adapt that Ross/monkey storyline. Could that BE anymore crazy?!”
Network executives also released an additional statement revealing, “The whole ‘they were on a break’ thing is gone. Dogs are never on a break.”
