Neighborhood Lab Digs Hole to China
CHICAGO, IL - Margo, a neighborhood dog, attempting to simply hide a bone from a nearby squirrel underground, inadvertently dug a hole to China, sources confirm.
“I just started digging, mostly to hide the bone from that squirrel that’s always around,” Margo began. “Before I knew it though, there I was, on the other side of the world. In China. Pretty big day for me!”
Margo noted she didn’t dig straight through to China, as there was a giant, yellow, unfriendly thing in the way, adding, “that giant hot ball I sidled by was even scarier than the loud thing that cleans the carpet in the living room.”
“I thought she ran away from home!” Margo’s owner, Stanley Davidson, began. “I was worried sick about her. Then one day she came home wearing an unfamiliar hat and talking about how a squirrel would never take her bones again. It seemed like she had travele to another country, but that just seemed unrealistic. Right? I don’t know, I hate traveling. The farthest I’ve ever been is Toledo, Ohio.”
Margo commented that she is more relaxed than ever, as it is highly unlikely that squirrel will go all the way to China to retrieve the hidden bone.
