Bodega Cat Runs Sidewalk In Summer
NEW YORK - Neighborhood Bodega Cat, Katherine, has announced the weather is warm enough to resume running the sidewalk outside her homestead bodega at the corner of 28th and 7th, sources confirm.
“This is my territory, and that will be made very clear now that it’s warm enough to sprawl out there,” she began. “I plan to lounge in my spot all day every day, weather permitting. If you’re walking by, you’ll walk around me. If you are looking for a place to crash, crash somewhere else. This is my spot. Now get out of my way.”
The bodega owner, Pete Carter, was already aware from the last few seasons, of how this goes.
“She runs this street,” he commented. “All who pass know about her. She’s legendary.”
With recent rain storms brewing, Katherine has also made sure to inform all that her spot inside the bodega, on the counter, near the deli station, is still unavailable, as she may require it’s use on short notice.
“Basically, this entire place belongs to me. Remember that.”
