'CatDog' Live-Action Reboot Still In Search Of Half A Dog

LOS ANGELES - Reboot of beloved animated series, CatDog, is still searching for half dog, producers confirm.

“We want to do it live action this time around,” began showrunner Alex Din. “We already have our half cat, but we need to find a half dog; they are tough to come by!”

The search was made especially difficult as Frederick, the half cat, has expressed anxiety over his costar.

“It’s just such an iconic role, we need to make sure we do it right,” Frederick commented. “We gotta go all out on this one; I wouldn’t wanna do it half way!”

Once auditions end, Frederick will be sewn together to whomever the dog half turns out to be. Not to worry, as we’re told the sewing process is seamless and no harm will come to the animals. Of course, if the owners of said animals have any last-second thoughts as the sewing occurs, the showrunners have asked, “Please do not burst into the room at the last second screaming, ‘stop this madness, you monsters!’”

Auditions are set to go for another month or so, and if they still haven’t found a decent half dog, they’ll have to search for a whole dog and make, what they refer to as, “special arrangements.”
