Dog Worried By Talk About Rainbow Road
NEW YORK - Bessie, a neighborhood dog, heard her owner speak about the Rainbow Road recently amongst friends, causing worries about her mortality, sources indicate.
“Everyone knows the Rainbow Bridge is another term for when dogs pass away,” Bessie began explaining, morose and downtrodden. “Jim and some friends have been talking about going to Rainbow Road, riding Rainbow Road, racing to Rainbow Road, and I can only imagine they mean, like, I might be heading there, right? The Rainbow Road is the road to the Rainbow Bridge, right? What else could that mean?”
The horror didn’t end, as Jim and company discussed “dying” on Rainbow Road.
“If you try to jump off at the beginning, sometimes it works out for you, but sometimes you just die,” Jim commented. “I don’t know though, I feel like no matter what you do, you’re bound to die on Rainbow Road.”
The terror consuming Bessie did not last however, when Jim and friends rejoiced about five minutes later, celebrating not dying on Rainbow Road.
