Dog Meant “Netflix and Chill” As Euphemism For “Play Frisbee At Park”
NEW YORK - Pluto, a neighborhood dog, caused a misunderstanding after inviting his owner to “Netflix and Chill,” using the term as a euphemism for “go to the dog park and you’ll throw a frisbee and I’ll catch it in my mouth in mid air.”
“Why would I want to actually watch Netflix?” Pluto explained. “I’m a dog. I wanna do dog things. And I don’t really chill. Again, because I’m a dog. I run around in circles until I’m tired, then go to sleep. Dogs don’t do Netflix and Chill. She should have recognized the implications.”
Pluto’s owner, Dana Jackson, claimed she knew what the euphemism meant, but was in denial, as she really did want to just hang out and watch The Office.
“I just didn’t have the energy for it, ya know?” she began. “You know, sometimes when they start that stuff late night, you don’t wanna do what it really means, but your brain kinda tricks you into thinking they meant what they actually said, I don’t know, I’m just so tired all the time, I really just wanna go to bed. Why can’t we just cuddle and go to sleep, right?”
Pluto eventually gave in and cuddled, after being assured they would go to the park another day.
