Cat Transports Food From Food Bowl To Water Bowl
NEW YORK - Mewlia Louis Dreyfuss, a neighborhood cat, removed a unit of food from her bowl, only to slide it into her nearby water bowl, sources indicate.
“Oh, I never intended to eat it,” Dreyfuss began. “Not at all. Not even for a second. My intention from the start was simply to relocate the food particle. I wanted it in the water, which I don’t plan to drink either, because I plan to lick the faucet directly instead.”
Dreyfuss’s owner, Tammy Siegler, discussed the phenomenon in all its confusion.
“I don’t understand it, and I can’t explain it,” Siegler noted. “It makes no sense. It follows no logic. It’s just complete madness. I watch her do it, day after day, and just think, ‘what is your deal?’ And for real, tell me, what is her deal?!”
Many speculate moving the food into the water bowl is a culinary strategy, positing perhaps wet food is preferable, though Mewlia has denied such claims.
“The thing is, I don’t plan to eat it once it’s in the water bowl,” she concluded. “Here’s the thing, I know how confusing it is, and how weird it is, and how obsessed with it people get. That is why I do it.”
