Winter Boots Impossible to Walk In
CHICAGO - Rocky, a 7-year-old French Bulldog, has confirmed it is impossible to walk in the winter boots his owner has dressed him in.
“They look great when I’m standing still,” he commented. “But when I go to take a step it’s like I have four left paws. They slide, they’re heavy, they don’t fit right. I literally can not walk.”
Rocky’s owner, Brad Parker, denied buying the boots simply for fashion-related purposes.
“They’re for safety,” Brad began. “In the winter, they protect Rocky’s paws from the salt. That’s all. It definitely has nothing to do with fashion. It’s a total coincidence they look just like my snow boots. Total coincidence.”
Other neighborhood dogs are enjoying the fashion choice despite their hinderance to basic functions like walking and sitting.
“I have wanted these specific booties ever since I saw Marnie the Shih Tzu wearing them on Instagram,” mentioned Roxy, a 3-year-old Pomeranian. “They’re impossible to walk in, but I get way more attention when I wear them, so in the end it’s worth it. They make me feel like I could be a model, not one that walks the runway, obviously, but one that just sits or stands. Y’know the non-moving type.”
Many neighborhood dogs began to appreciate winter boots more upon hearing the rumor of the latest fashion trend, dog pants.
