Dog Especially Helpful On Laundry Day
WINTER GARDEN, FL — Frosty, a neighborhood Westie, is being heralded for providing much needed help to his owner on laundry day, sources report.
“I think it’s only fair,” Frosty began. “She takes care of me, cleans up after me, basically does everything. It’s the right thing to do. So I make sure to show up on laundry day, sit on the pile of clothes, crawl into the washing machine, you know, the basic duties for a laundry-day-wing-man; I’m her best friend after all!”
Sharon Bidot, Frosty’s owner, seemed confused at the notion of being helped with laundry.
“I’m not sure I know what you’re talking about,” she responded. “I mean, Frosty is there, for sure, but I wouldn’t necessarily call it helpful. He’s more, just, kinda, there.”
Though she is reluctant to admit it, Frosty knows just how helpful he is in these situations.
“Without me there, who would unfold all those t-shirts that are stacked on top of each other?” Frosty chimed in again. “Like, what kind of person has neatly creased clothing placed carefully in a drawer, when you could have a dog roll around in it, get his hair and scent all over it, and leave it strewn about on the floor. And especially when I get her underwear caught on my feet and drag it around the house, then leave it somewhere so she stumbles upon it years later? You can’t find that kind of help anywhere else!”
Bidot has recently begun doing laundry with the door to the laundry room closed.
