Tiny Bear Won’t Stop Squeaking
CHICAGO, IL - Pebbles, a neighborhood Corgi, is incensed at a tiny bear she has ‘killed’ several times, sources indicate.
“What foul trickery is this?” Pebbles asked. “I must have killed the fluffy beast but fifty times and still it squeaks!”
“I just bought the bear at Target,” Pebbles’ owner, Andrea Meadows, explained. “Pebbles seems to love it. She won’t stop playing with it.”
“That bear! It laughs in the face of death!” Pebbles continued. “If it weren’t for the tiniest shred of sanity I have left, I’d swear I could hear that bear haunting me at night. The squeaks! THE SQUEAKS!”
“Awhile ago I noticed the bear was getting stinky, so I tried to throw it out, but Pebbles fished it right out of the trash. I guess I have to keep it,” Meadows added. “It’s basically her best friend now.”
“Were I but a foolish young pup, I would allow the bear to fall into the hands of another, but no, I am older and wiser. I know that I alone have what it takes to withstand the squeaking,” Pebbles remarked. “I am cursed to kill the bear every day, only to hear it squeak again! O, what a cruel fate! I am the Sisyphus of Corgis!”
