Heroic Dog Saves Woman From Box Of Poison Man Gave Her
NEW YORK - Bingo, a neighborhood dachshund, became a local hero after thwarting a man’s attempt to poison his owner with a box of poison, sources indicate.
“He does it every year,” Bingo’s owner, Samantha Barret stated. “Every February 14th it’s the same thing!”
Bingo sees it happen year after year, and always steps in to save the day. This year he even ate the poison for her because she seemed intent on ingesting it.
“The last three years it’s even been the same man,” Bingo commented. “I don’t know why she hasn’t figured this out yet. Every year he gives her this box of sweet, dark, lumps of poison. And every year I have to step in and save her. It hurts my tummy, and often results in a trip to the vet, but I’m her best friend, this is what I’m here to do; protect her at all costs!”
The first few times Bingo saved Barret’s life, he was met with humorous grins, but as of late it has switched to angered scolding, likely because he keeps putting his life at risk.
