NBC Announces Human Version Of Puppy Bowl
NEW YORK - NBC has announced the network will air an alternative to the much anticipated Puppy Bowl, but it will feature humans instead of dogs, sources confirm.
“It’s great that my owner will have something to watch during the commercials,” commented Bagel, a neighborhood beagle. “Even though everyone knows the commercials are the best part, but I suppose he’s got the opposable thumbs and paid for the TV, so let him flip to the human version if he really wants.”
Representatives at the network have been preparing for what might be the most watched night of television all year, lining up their own set of special commercials and guests.
“We’ve got tons of new commercials premiering,” began the president of NBC. “We have an amazing halftime show scheduled. It should definitely be a fun time. Definitely the biggest night of TV for the year!”
Bagel’s owner expressed interest in watching NBC’s human version of the show, even going so far as to invite friends and order food for the occasion.
“Hopefully Bagel will let me watch in peace this year,” started owner Daniel Phillips. “Every year Bagel has bothered me until I change it to the Puppy Bowl, but I’d really prefer to watch the Super Bowl this time.”
Though most will not admit, it is also a well known fact most dogs only watch the Puppy Bowl for the Kitty Half-Time show.
