Dog Moves to Other End of Couch
WANATAH, IN - Peanut, a nine-year-old Basset Hound, woke up during the middle of the day yesterday and changed locations on the couch, prompting a panicked call to 911, sources confirm.
“He always sleeps on the left side of the couch, so you could imagine my panic when he switched to the right,” Shelly Clarkson, Peanut’s owner, began. “I heard a sound coming from the living room during prime nap time and got worried. With no precedent of such maneuvers, Peanut suddenly was on the other side of the couch. Thank goodness the emergency dispatcher let me know everything would be fine and talked me through the ordeal.”
Neighborhood pet psychic Crystal Flowers had a vastly different interpretation of the event.
“Maybe an earthquake, maybe a meteor, who knows?” Flowers posited. “Clearly this dog is sensing something and is telling all of us to re-examine where we are. What does Peanut know that we don’t?”
Peanut remains confused as to why this is such a huge deal.
“I don’t know what the big fuss is, I sleep in literally every spot in the entire house,” he began. “Like, it was only a matter of time before I make my way to this one last remaining untouched area, right?”
Peanut went on to mention he prefers the left side over the right because it has an imprint of his body already.
