Tail Continues To Prove Elusive
NEW YORK - Freddie, a dalmatian who has been running in circles for an indeterminate amount of time, has confirmed his tail continues to prove elusive.
“It’s always just out of reach. Every time I think I’ve caught up to it, it slips from my grasp,” Freddie commented. “Sometimes I wonder if I’m even chasing it, or if it is chasing me!”
Freddie’s housemate David, a golden retriever, expressed similar sentiments in regards to a different tail.
“I’ve seen Freddie chasing that thing for hours on end. It always seems like he’s about to grab it, then just misses it. I’ve been having an identical problem, except the one I’m chasing happens to be more of an off-grey-ish color, and furrier. Freddie’s is white with spots,” David remarked. “I don’t know what happened, but one day it showed up, and I found myself in the exact same predicament as Freddie. Someday I’ll catch that thing though, mark my words!”
Freddie and David’s owner, Aaron Heckman, smiled when approached for comment regarding his pets’ eternal quest.
“I don’t know what it is. I’ve tried distracting them with toys and treats. I even tried to get them to chase each other’s tails, but they only want their own. It’s too bad. I don’t think I’ll tell them they will never catch it, it’s important for them to have that hope,” Heckman said. “Also it’s hilarious to watch.”
As of late, Freddie and David have supposedly taken a break from chasing those elusive tails upon rumors spreading of a nearby cat.
